I think one of the most thrilling moments I’ve ever witnessed on a TV show happened during this episode when a florist van brutally crashed into the ER as Hunt lunged to save Christina at the last second. It was shocking, and completely without warning (much like accidents that happen in real life) so I was seriously gasping out loud for those few seconds. It’s rare that events like these happen on TV without buildup and at the end of a very simple conversation so I can’t really praise it enough.
As for the rest of the episode, it was another strong offering from a show that has surpassed my expectations on every level this season. Several moments were executed brilliantly from Christina breaking down after Owen tells her he’s moving out, Teddy’s superbly written speech about hating Owen and wishing he was dead, and Alex reading a love letter to the little girl (the first time he’s likeable in quite a while). Moreover, I enjoyed McSteamy & Avery spending Valentine’s together as well as Lexie awkwardly crashing the party at the end.
If I had any complaints, it’s that the girl who wanted the proposal from her injured husband felt very forced and heavy handed (and I usually let stuff like this slide on Greys but this was too much).
Finally, I have to mention Teddy’s outbreak. It was realistic, tragic and stunning one every level. Has Kim Raver added another layer of awesomeness to this show or what?

Perfectly stated. I can't believe I don't remember this episode very much because I was SHOCKED (for the second time) when that van crashed into the ER and Owen pushed Cristina out of the way. SO sudden, so unexpected. Wow, I was just as stunned as you are (or were, on February 2012 hahh).
And Teddy screaming at Owen that she wakes up in the middle of the night wondering why good guys die at war but God has let HIM live: dayuum! Absolutely brutal, T.
Seriously loving these reviews.
