Well that was unexpectedly quick. I thought for sure the identity of who would be playing Marylin would be dragged out until the season finale or at least the midseason finale. I appreciate the fact that the writers wasted no time in making a decision but I can’t say I’m pleased as I really wanted Katharine McPhee to get it. Nevertheless, the season is still young so there’s always hope she’ll swoop in and play the lead. This episode was noticeably weaker than the pilot but I still enjoyed the show’s brand of Broadway wackiness and choreographed dance numbers. All in all, still intriguingly different for network television.
