Another fun episode. This wasn’t particularly special or thrilling but I did like the more distinct focus on the backstage machinations going on with the Marlyn Musical. And for once, I quite enjoyed Ivy who’s slowly but surely gaining a lot of interesting dimensions. However, Karen is unfortunately suffering as she’s really nothing but a goody two shoes at the moment which is getting frustrating to me as a viewer. Katharine McPhee undoubtedly deserves more to play with.
Finally, is it just me or is Angelica Huston strangely annoying yet charming at the same time? I really can’t quite put my finger on it but the character does have a strangely endearing charming amidst Huston’s overacting.
Ultimately an okay hour although I would have liked something more thrilling.
