Marvel’s Agents of SHIELD – Season Four
Shield‘s never really had the finest posters (see this, this, and this), so I didn’t exactly have high expectations for the show’s season four art. Ghost Rider’s arrival undoubtedly adds some excitement (and sizzle) but this is still generic. Couldn’t we get the whole cast together for a photoshoot? I just hate it when random glamour shots are pasted together. As far as I’m concerned, the show’s only had one creative poster thus far, and it hasn’t been able to replicate it since. Also, can we have Bobbie back already?

Conviction – Season One
So let me get this straight: Hayley Atwell left Agent Carter for a generic legal drama? I won’t be watching this, but the color scheme is attractive enough. I also like the balance visualized on Atwell’s face through the use of shadows, which is a nice symbolism for the good/evil aspects that our anti-hero will have to juggle.

American Housewife – Season One
The first time I saw this, I found it painfully dull. But the more I look at it, the more I appreciate the creativity. The line about being cookie-cutter is a perfect thematic fit, and it’s visualized through the cookie cutter that’s shaped like a typical American house. The colors are a bit too vulgar for my taste, but it sort of works.
Tagline: Anything but cookie-cutter.

Divorce – Season One
This looks like just another glamour shot, until you realize that this twisted couple is about to get splattered into a million pieces, lending a dark touch to the whole thing. This poster actually makes me want to give Sarah Jessica Parker’s new show a shot, and since I don’t even like her, that’s a definite win for the marketing department!

Frequency – Season One
I kind of love this one almost as much as I love Peyton List (the gorgeous star of the CW’s upcoming thriller). The artwork does a great job of selling the premise (two timelines working together) while injecting an edgy visual and eye-popping colours. Plus the flipped reflections are a nice touch that you might not immediately notice upon first glance.

Gotham – Season Three
Although I can’t even bring myself to watch another episode of Gotham (it’s that horrendous), I must admit that this is some pretty funky artwork. Season three is apparently all about the villains taking over the city, so the use of the snow-globe with Batman’s Rogues Gallery inside is kind of genius. Sure the photoshop inside the globe could be better, but A for effort (well not really).

Westworld – Season One
The season’s most high-profile new offering gets a creepy creation that infuses Leonardo Da Vinci’s iconic Vitruvian Man with an unsettling vibe. I do wish it explains a bit more about the show (the tagline is kind of confusing when matched with the visual), but it still piques my interest. Plus you can tell HBO is pumping a lot of moolah into this one because this ain’t no cheap artwork.

No Tomorrow – Season One
You could definitely make a case that this is kind of boring, but I appreciate the effort that went into listing so many bucket list details in the background. It’s not groundbreaking by any means, but it tells you everything you need to know about the show and it gets the job done.

American Horror Story – Season Six
Way too many banners and posters have been released for me to give them any more individual attention. Nevertheless, AHS did a stellar job of amping up the mystery of just what exactly the season was about. Sure some images work better than others, but all in all, this is the kind of effort all shows must put to market their season premieres. Well done FX!

American Horror Story – Season Six
I just had to give this poster some individual focus because well… it’s freakin’ gorgeous? The pink dress, the green monster arms grabbing from behind, the ominous water – it’s all so darn terrifying and beautiful. This is certainly my favorite poster in quite a while!

The American Horror Story posters are and always have been out there but beautiful in an unsettling kind of way.
